At least 50 people have been confirmed dead in a suicide bombing at a mosque in Mubi, Nigeria.
Aljazeera reports according to police, the teenage bomber entered the mosque on Tuesday morning as worshipers were arriving for morning prayer.
Dozens have been injured.
Associated Press reports that police spokesman Othman Abubakar has said: “(The police are) still trying to ascertain the number of injured because they are in various hospitals.”
It is suspected that the extremist group Boko Haram, who according to Aljazeera has carried out regular attacks in the area, is responsible for the bombing.
However, there has been no claim of responsibility.
