Headless woman’s body parts found

KwaZulu-Natal police say that they have managed to locate the missing body parts of a dead woman found in the bushes at Pigeon Valley, Umbilo.
According to a police statement, the woman’s body was found on 23 January at 14:30.
The woman, believed to be in her 30s, was found half naked and had been missing some body parts, including her head and a finger.
A case of murder was opened and investigation was launched.
Police say that they arrested a 32-year-old suspect in connection with the woman’s murder on Monday.
Following the interrogation of the suspect, police managed to recover the deceased’s missing finger and head.
The suspect will be charged with murder and is expected to appear in the Durban Magistrates’ Court in due time.
Police have appealed to the public to come forward if they have a missing family member and believe that they may be able to assist in identifying the woman.
